Who can submit?

The Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal accepts Note submissions from current students enrolled in an ABA accredited law school. The Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal accepts Comment and Blog submissions from anyone.

What is a Note, Comment, or Blog?

A Note is a student-authored piece of academic writing which discusses and analyzes an original legal issue or problem in some depth. Notes cannot be longer than 17,500 words.

A Comment is an authored piece of academic writing that is centered on an analysis or critique of a recent case, piece of legislation, law journal article, or law-related book. Comments are also significantly shorter than Notes. Comments cannot be longer than 7,500 words.

Blog entries should be between 500-1500 words, summarizing a relevant topic in technology law. Please email HTLJ’s Managing Editor Online, Nicole Poirot ([email protected]) with a brief introduction, summary of your piece and a Word doc of your blog submission with proper Bluebook citation and formatting.
